Executive Coaching

How often are you pulled away from what your truly want to focus on improving financial results, innovative product development, fighting fires, resolving conflicts and improved customer satisfaction.  Today’s executive’s energy is pulled in many directions at once with more and more demands piled on daily, it seems.

No matter where you turn there is an article or some allusion to Executive coaching and its many benefits.  But, still you must ask yourself do I really need coaching? How can a coach help my business anyway? Besides, do I have the time for it, anyway?

The workplace is changing to a 24/7 with number of white collar employees telecommuting on the rise, we continue to globalize, markets are changing, the political climate is in flux, long term planning has in many cases been replaced by near term planning 3 to 5 years and in rare cases, 10 years. 

Each trend demands new changes in the workplace to at worse maintain status quo and at best leverage the changes to increased market share and profits.  One person can no longer sit at the top of an organization with a full knowledge of what is happening inside the company and out in order to effectively plan and make qualified, knowledge based decisions. The amount of information available in itself is staggering.  New skills in quickly involving others, emotional intelligence, cross functional strategic planning, inspiring other to follow your clear vision of the where you want to go are just a few of the many new skills needed. 

These skills are a sure asset from a business perspective and yield significant results for executives, but who has time to take the training necessary? It is far more effective to work in real-time with a coach to work through issues as they arise and develop a clear-cut plan of action that relates specifically to your needs.

Reaching an executive level does not mean that you have to stop living your life outside of work. The holistic approach to coaching helps you find balance in your whole life. Most of the coach’s time is spent listening to what is being said and not being said, then asking “powerful questions”.  (Powerful questions, are often quite simple, yet help produce much insight.) The coaching relationship is one based on trust, which strengthens over time.
